Welcome to the promo GUDA website. GUDA is an unique instrument, which is a hybrid of the tongue drum and handpan. Being essentially the tongue drum, GUDA inherited many family traits of handpan.
For the production of our instruments we use the same materials and the same techniques that are used by the most of handpan builders. Also we offer additional options such as stainless steel and aluminum Geometry and dimensions of GUDA as much as possible approached to handpans. And of course the main "chip" of the instrument - the presence of octave harmonics in the sound (the same effect have handpans, pantams and steel pans). When played, GUDA produces the basic sound + sound an octave higher. These overtones (so-called "flageolets" make the sound brighter, louder and significantly expand the sonic palette.
Design
The unique design of the instrument combined with well-chosen materials and skillful handcrafting make GUDA the most loud and well-sounding tongue idiophone. GUDA sound has nothing to do with the sound of other tongue drums (tank drums, hapi drums and else). Its sound is clear, warm and bright at the same time, without metallic "taste." GUDA has the geometry of a handpan and differs from other tongue drums( so-called tank-drums, or hank-drums, hapi-drums, etc.). Two hemispheres have the radius and the size, which are very close to handpans. The method of manufacturing is also very close to handpan making. We glue our instrument with the same sealant and we use the same steel for our basic models, as the most of handpan builders.
Sound
GUDA has two sounds on the each tongue. Additional overtone makes the sound brilliant and more lively. This overtone sound mixed with the main tone but it can be also played separately - it is very similar to guitar flageolet, played on the 12th fret. | Innovation
Not so long ago, we have developed a brand new type of instrument - GUDA-Fx. This instrument is equipped with built-in electronics (pickups, preamps, EQ, and various effects). Built-in electronics gives the opportunity to use onboard or additional effects, create your own tone, play in the band with more loud instruments (drums, electric guitar and bass, ets.); also it allows you to record your composition directly to sound card.

The ornaments are manually engraved on the surface of the instruments. We use traditional authentic ornaments as elements of design - Indian Mehendi, Ukranian, Celtic and other patterns.
